Seefeldstrasse 12

Project by Lilli Brändle

Herzlich

The “Herzlich” store is located in an office building near the opera house. The street is not particularly attractive for shopping. There is a lot of traffic: Trams, buses and cars pass through, and there are parking spaces all along the street. The sidewalk is therefore narrow. Nevertheless, the store is attractively located in the city center.

There are many different stores nearby: Cafés, hairdressers, a bike store and more. The facade of the building looks cold and uninviting due to the light gray tones. The dark roof separates my chosen shop window from the building facade. The eye is immediately drawn to the store window. The entrance door is not very prominent, you almost have to look for it.

Next to the shop window are tall branches, a spherical bush in a pot and a lantern with a candle. These serve as eye-catchers in the outdoor space, creating a forest atmosphere. The shop window itself shows a small living room with a cozy armchair, cushions, blankets and a sheepskin. The oak floor visible in the shop window continues into the interior of the store. The wooden window frames are painted dark grey, which creates a contrast to the light-colored building.

The shop window is not overcrowded. The items displayed are illuminated and situated close to the window. As the interior is quite dark, you cannot see much from the outside. The lighting in the store is only sporadic. Many burning scented candles create a cozy atmosphere. The style of the goods on offer can be described as “alpine chic”.
