Limmatplatz 3

K Kiosk

The shop window belongs to a k kiosk located in the middle of a busy tram station close to the Limmat. The kiosk is surrounded by a roundabout. The tracks and a large tree are located directly next to the kiosk. The Limmatplatz is at the end of Langstrasse, which is a former red light district with a lively nightlife of vibrant dance clubs with DJs, live music venues and cocktail lounges. This is why many different cultures come together here. This makes Limmatplatz an important hub for infrastructure in Zurich.

Above the kiosk is a round concrete roofing which stands in contrast to the filigree kiosk. The round cutouts of the roofing next to the kiosk reflect the structure of the kiosk and provide a sense of harmony. Out of one cutout grows a tree next to the kiosk.

Thanks to the openness of the building caused by the simple, black framed windows, the goods and the bar are directly visible to walk-in customers and also fits perfectly into the public square. The round shape offers a pleasant atmosphere and allows customers to observe the floating masses.
