Atelier Susanne Keller
The shop window is located in Zurich Kreis 1, in the middle of a narrow alley framed by buildings on both sides. The Froschaugasse is a quiet street right next to the Niederdorf area. While strolling around the neighborhood you get by numerous small stores such as a book bindery and a secondhand shop.
The shop window is part of a four-story building, where the entire ground floor is occupied by an art atelier. Along the facade there are displayed three generous shop windows which belong to the atelier. Above the first two shop windows and the entrance door there are yet again smaller windows, half the height of one shop window.
Several artworks of the artist Susanne Keller are displayed quite noticeable in the shop window, as you walk by. The shop window is directly adjacent to the atelier. The display area of the shop windows serves as a connection between the passant admiring the art and the artist, creating new art. These two parts can be separated by a curtain.
Each of the shop windows and the entrance door are surrounded by a green, wooden frame. The frame is quite broad with different levels of subdivision. Further they are divided in two or three parts by a smaller white frame, which is secured into the green outer frame. As the facade is a rough, grey plaster the green frame is the only color accent.
