A scent of fine flour lays in the air around the swiss mill building in Zürich Kreis 5. The entrance is oriented on the high traffic Sihlstreet in middle of industrial surrounding.
Two steel stairs lead up to a transport ramp where goods for and from the flour production are exchanged. Rectangular carvings garnish the wooden door. The door is embedded in a rusticated masionary constructed with lime stones. Intels of brick stones cover the openings. The metallic steel roof keeps the whole entrance area dry.
This entrance is a remnant of Zürich’s early industrial days. A city which has grown from the industrial, to a global city nowadays.
