Only a short walk away from the train station in Altstetten lies a high brick building. It is located right in front of train tracks and is placed diagonally to the Brockenhaus Arche.
It is one of four similar blocks which are all connected with their facades. The two middle buildings are about half as high as the outer ones. Being one of the high buildings, this entrance leads to a sixteen-storey high construct.
Its main entrance is shifted inwards and creates a small outdoor space which is protected from the weather. On both sides are other entrances, the right one leading into a Poke restaurant and the left door belonging to a driving school.
The number of the building is written in big letters onto a concrete band right above the entrance so that it is easy to read from across the street. Next to the sidewalk there are bicycle holders which create an additional opportunity of mobility.
The entrance is surrounded by concrete and red brick stones which form a different pattern on the left side of the entrance as it is shown in the drawing. While all the big areas are built with bricks, concrete is used for the floor slabs and walls which proceed in the in the interior. The edges of this building are also made of concrete and have a little cut-out creating two edges at once.
