Hardstrasse 96

Project by Merri Joshua

The entrance is facing the Hardstrasse which is a busy street with great views towards the prime Tower. To get to the entrance one must walk through an alley of bushes. On the lefthand side there is a big letter box. Hidden behind the bushes are two small gardens located on both sides of the alley with a couple of smaller trees.

The entrance is recessed into the wall creating a large portal merging into an arch at the top. The door is made out of glass and steel embedded into a wooden doorframe. It sits on a large concrete slab separating it from the street. The doorframe is accentuated with a characteristic crown-like ornament. There are more ornaments scattered in between the different window frames resembling stars. The façade is mainly white with green highlights found in the door and the windows. Slim Extrusions fitted to the façade create a stripped pattern.
