The entrance is located in Kreis 3 of Zürich. The entrance is marked by two stone pillars, placed right on the edge of the sidewalk. There is a 3- meter gap, between the four steps leading to the door and the beginning of the entrance. Mailboxes are found integrated in the metal fence, stretching from the pillars to the stairs. Two metal gates at the opposite end of the pillars allow access to the small courtyards, where bikes and strollers are stored. The stone entrance height is about 3 meters, with a detailed frame. After walking up 4 granite steps with rounded edges, you enter a foyer pale yellow, with a beige skirting along the bottom and a white ceiling, lit with a round light fixture.
The massive, detailed oak door is lined with a thin frame of stone. The door is divided in three parts and is symmetrical with regards to the middle. A wooden skirting lines the bottom, and a moulding surrounds all panels on the door. The right and left sides of the door have three panels, a large, small and large panel. Between the door and the side parts, a dividing mull post is decorated with circles as well as carved lines. The wooden door itself is made up of three different sized panels. The bottom panel is a rectangle with moulding and a wooden frame. Another panel makes up the lock rail, with the door handle being a round knob in the middle with a glass lite, behind a black metal design. The mull cover is composed of small, even spaced squares, above it a window framed in wood.
The entrance with its intricate door and the long pathway harmonizes so well and makes for a perfect division of street and house.
