The entrance is located at a road leading to Lake Zürich and faces west. In front of the entrance is a wide sidewalk and a row of parking spaces. This creates a big gap between the entrance and the street. What is exciting is that the canopy from the entrance vertically intersects the road. The canopy is built of solid steel and has 18 glass panes installed in a grid pattern. The sidewalk is separated from the entrance by three steps which are made of granite stone. The area in front of the entrance is also covered with granite stone slats and has indi- vidual recesses in which individual bricks of glass are installed, which are responsible for the lighting of a room below. The side walls are also covered with granite stone up to the lower third and Jura limestone above. The column, to which the can- opy is partially attached, is made of concrete and covered with a beige plaster.
The entrance leads into the Zürich Congress House, which often hosts events in large concert halls. One enters through two double doors, which consist of four glass panes framed with brass. Above the double doors there are four more glass panes. The entrance is built like a sluice and has two more double doors behind the outer entrance, which then lead into a large entrance hall. Looking from the outside, the entrance is almost completely covered with glass. This makes sure that the inner of the building seems inviting.
