The intersection of the Rötelstrasse and the Rotbuchstrasse forms this corner which is very special in its shape. With its graded parts right in the front of the building, the corner seems to be perfectly integrated into the following walls. These breaks of the usual form of a corner allows a very smooth pass between the front facade and the left and right side of the building. It’s kind of a coherent connection.
The facade of the WIR Bank building is created in a very detailed way. Between the windows there are painted illustrations. Every window has a different shape of frame and they seem like unique pieces who decorate the facade.
To conclude the building a huge roof overdraw the whole complex. Like all the other parts of the building also the roof is characterized by its special shape and small details.
For example the change between straight borders and curved borders.
These small details makes this corner to such an attractive one. You can look at it the corner from each side and it always looks a bit different.
