The artefact is located close to the Limmat, at a small intersection in the middle of a residential area. The two streets that intersect are one rather frequented road parallel to the river and a smaller, less used street that leads to some residential blocks. The building is a substation from EWZ hence it is not public. It is clearly separated from the other buildings and therefore it stands alone at this corner.
With the building not being public, passersby do not interact with the building in any way. But it is still noticeable because of its distinct proportions and its separation from the rest of the buildings. The structure has a quite small footprint and is rather tall. Its appearance is tower-like.
The intersection next to it is rounded off. The house is not directly at the street. A pavement separates the street and the lawn on which the building is built. To get to the Building itself there is a small path made from cement blocks leading across the lawn in front of it.
The building stands on a base which is plastered grey. On top of the base is the tower-like structure, that is painted salmon pink. The gray tone of the base is repeated in the window frames.
To get inside the building you must use a small stair leading up to a small pedestal. From there you can enter through a metal door. On the same facade you can find two windows, identical to each other. Aside from these openings, there are only three small windows in the base of the building. The rest of the building is completely shut off.
