The house to which the balconies are attached is located at the lower end of Niederdorf near Central. In the same house there is also the valley station of the Polybahn. The balconies are located on the two floors directly above its entrance. If you are on one of the balconies, you can see the Polybahn coming and going every three minutes.
The balcony, which is located on the floor directly above the driveway, is supported on two ornaments. The balcony itself is made of exposed concrete. A simple steel railing serves as a fall protection. The balcony is also divided into three parts by four pillars with Doric pilasters, the central part being larger than the two outer parts. On the back edge of the pillars are the windows. They are recessed into the facade, creating a small covered area. The window in the middle can be opened as a door and thus provides access to the balcony.
Above each of the four pilasters are four additional ornaments, on which the second balcony is visually supported. Otherwise, the second balcony has the same structure as the first one.
The lower balcony is completely empty, so it can be assumed that it is little used. The upper balcony, however, looks quite busy. There are several potted plants on it, as well as a few chairs.
