In combination with the change of the façade the balconies facing Ottostrasse start at the 2nd floor which creates a certain privacy of the balconies. Given the floral ornaments the balconies are transparent and as a pedestrian it would be possible to look inside if you lift the gaze but there is a tree directly in front of the balconies. The balconies are vertically aligned which creates a shadow beneath the balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floor. It can be assumed that these balconies are located directly in front of the living room, as they appear neat and do not serve as storage rooms.
The balconies at Ottostrasse 9 offer space for a small table with chairs and are decorated with flowers, depending on the residents. The contrast between the solid concrete floor and the elaborate iron framework is a typical feature of the balconies. The balconies are supported by two consoles protruding from the wall directly below the balcony. On the 2nd floor balcony, cracks are already visible on the underside of the floor.
