Located in Zürich‘s district Kreis 7, the balcony opens up a view on the Hegarstrasse, the Klosbachstrasse and the garden of the Kinderhaus Artergut. On the other side of Hegarstrasse, one can find an almost equally designed balcony. The corner building has got four balconies stacked on top of each other. All four are exposed from the buildings corner and they are almost the same.
The lowest one has a small wall while the others have got some metal railing. This gives the lower one a bit more privacy. Looking from the streets, its hard to see into this balcony. The higher ones are designed much more open. This makes them more exposed then the lowest one.
On the ground floor of the building, which is made from grey stones, there ́s a small wine bar which sells Argentinian wine. The rest of the Building is painted in a light yellow. Around the windows there are thick brown frames.
Each balcony can be accessed through three double windows. The four flower boxes which are mounted on the metal railings exhibit the same detailed structure as the railing itself. Neither of them is filled with flowers. Beneath the balconies on the north-west facade of the building, a gutter goes down from the roof until the lowest balcony, there it disappears in the wall.
There is no furniture on neither of the balconies. Although this, together with the flower boxes, might change in summer. Then it is a great space for hanging out, having a cigarette, or even sunbathing
