Her Agency

Exploring the life and the work of “female professionals"

Students explored the life and work of “female professionals” (urban designers, architects, politicians, journalists, editors, curators, philanthropists, etc.) in the post-war period who started to critically engage in discussions on urban design and actively contributed to the design of cities.

This online exhibition presents an image analysis, as well critical and creative writing, in which each student has highlighted the agency of one female protagonist, stressing her personal way of operating and impacting on the design of cities.
